I feel like I haven't submitted something in forever. I thought I'd be finally free over the holidays but nope, it's quite the opposite! Anywho, I've recently gotten back into Mortal Kombat, and I absolutely LOVE Mileena. She is, personally, the most unique character in the game. From what I gather from people who read the comics and from seeing the games, she is a complete fool; she is the one character that goes through the most crap in her life because of how she was made and because she is blind to her own naivety. I don't find it very fair how she is treated, and so I understand her unstable, "want-it-all" personality. Born a weapon, meant to be used - there is no emotional presentation.

Tanya is another favorite of mine, however much I hear she seems to be disliked by many other people and even most characters in-game. She is a deceiver posing as a servant and makes all of her decisions for her very own benefit, resulting in her really.... really long life (we're talking a thousand years or more here). She doesn't personify good or evil. I actually like her way of thinking, just because I think she's only trying to survive. Survival may be mistaken for betrayal for all the other characters I guess? I could be waaaaay wrong about all this but I still like her nonetheless.

This is a tribute to her and Tanya and is (for myself) meant to wonder, "If Mileena was truly proud of her Tarkatan maw, why would she hide it behind the cover of a mask?"

I present Tanya peeling away Mileena's mask and kissing her teeth to guide the meaning that she loves this 'flaw' of hers.

I also haven't found very much fanart of these two despite the blatant flirtyness between them before they fight each other. I dunno, I've got the vibe that both characters are kind of not liked at all by people? At least not as popular as Sub-Zero and Scorpion or something. Eh, doesn't matter, I ship these two.
